Germany won the United Cup against Poland on Sunday in Sydney. Alexander Zverev saved two title points in singles against Hubert Hurkacz.

After Iga Swiatek’s easy 6-3, 6-0 victory against Angelique Kerber, Poland saw the Cup appear when Hurkacz offered his two match points. Just a flash that ended up dazzling the Pole. The German ended up materializing his domination to win 6-7 [3], 7-6 [6], 6-4 and continue with the doubles.

Like the day before against Greece, Zverev, associated with Laura Siegemund, managed to achieve victory at the end of the suspense against the Hurkacz-Swiatek pair. After midnight (local time), the Germans won the super tie-break (6-4, 5-7, 10-4) to win the title.
